Possible Use

Well Being in Communities: We gathered data from our community via a questionnaire at a popular program so that we understand the real needs for early learning support and can showcase our achievements.

Real Story Examples

Early Bird Learning videos: A Virtual Tutorial for Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers: Oak Park Public Library children’s staff created more than 400 early learning videos since March 2020. Sixteen categories of videos are available on YouTube, including art, en español, life skills, and supported. A presentation on reading readiness and a virtual tutorial for discovering video collections featuring activities, book recommendations, caregiver tips, and more are also available.

Autism Awareness Fundraiser to Support the Creation of an Accessibility Collection and Sensory Kits: Waukegan Public Library hosts "The Comfort Zone: A Sensory Room for Kids, Friends, & Families." Along with a collection of sensory kits and a sitting area with a Launchpad, Waukegan Public Library is showing their efforts towards making the library an inclusive, representative, and welcoming place for all.

Using Technology as a Means of Therapeutic Self-Expression: During the COVID-19 pandemic, children and teens shouldered stress and anxiety far beyond their years. This project allowed participants to express themselves using technology, offering a way to express their feelings in creative and beautiful ways. From learning to use podcasting equipment, learning "Passion Writing," and creating artwork and T-shirts, 90% of participants stated they had higher self-esteem after the program.

Technology Services: The Mississippi Library Commission enhanced the technological environment of Mississippi libraries. The technology services provided by this grant allowed Mississippi Library Commission to provide free technical assistance, training, and consulting to public libraries on technical issues. These programs and projects helped address the digital divide around technology needs of citizens throughout the State of Mississippi.

In general, line charts are the best choice for indicating change over time. Consider using a bar chart to indicate the measurable importance of the need.
